What You Learn From Your Name

This section covers the information that you can derive from both your name at birth and the name that you are currently using . . . or the name that you are thinking of using.

Numerology is based on the belief that everything in the universe is vibration and that numbers are our way of identifying the vibrations. When you watch two parents discussing the possible names of their expected child, they throw names back and forth until they find one that they both decide will fit . . . it feels right. And it feels right because it fits the vibration of the personality that they recognize subconsciously long before their conscious mind has made any connection.

If the name is picked out before the pregnancy and you are certain that that is the name you will use then you attract a personality that fits that vibration.

As you go through life, you sometimes feel the need to change your name or to change the form of the name that you are using. This reflects the changes that you are experiencing on an inner level. You feel different, you want to express yourself differently and you want others to see you in a new light.

Some numerologists will suggest right away that you change your name because the one that you have is ‘not working’ in some area. My attitude is rather reversed. Some area of your life is not working because of attitudes you have about yourself. As you change the attitudes that you hold inside, you will find that the desire to change your name or the form of the name comes naturally.

Once you have picked a new name, you can have a look at what the numbers say about the name.

SOME POINTS TO BE CONSIDERED ABOUT NAME CHANGES . . .

The best names for you reflect in some way the DESTINY and/or the PERSONALITY number. If you are a Seven destiny or personality and you take on a Three name, you may find that you attract a lifestyle that is too busy and active for you. You will often find yourself in situations where you are expected to be outgoing and enjoy the spotlight and that may be difficult for you to do, particularity on a regular basis.

Unless the numbers 11, 22 or 33 have appeared somewhere in your birth information, do not pick names that add up to these numbers. For example, if the number 11 has appeared in your birth information, do not pick a name that has a higher vibration, i.e., 22 or 33. If you do take a name that is of a higher vibration, you attract situations that you may not be ready to handle.

Astrology of an Address ~ Dayel Kirk

    July 8, 2009

Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.

Thanks, Dayel! Please visit The Reluctant Astrologer to get the astrology of your address, along with some other freebies and some excellent posts on current astrological trends and personalities.
