The Twelfth House

The Twelfth House is a mysterious place. Old astrology books called it the place of our undoing, of imprisonment, of jails, hospitals and other institutions. With both my Sun and my Moon in the Twelfth House I have learned a few positive things about how to use the energies involved.

When you have planets (either in your Birth chart or by transit) in the Twelfth House, it is as though the doorway to the different levels of consciousness is partly open. Impressions, sensations, memories and inspiration come from dreams, the subconscious, past life memories and the connections you have with others in your life. It is very easy to be overwhelmed and confused. You feel isolated; you feel like an alien but, once you have learned to be aware of these energies and learned how to use them, you become the wizard.

The gift of the Twelfth House is that you have the ability to connect with all of these energies. There have been several occasions when I received important answers to questions that I had posed (through a process that I called automatic writing although it was more like taking dictation). These are two of my favorites.

Astrology of an Address ~ Dayel Kirk

    July 8, 2009

Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.

Thanks, Dayel! Please visit The Reluctant Astrologer to get the astrology of your address, along with some other freebies and some excellent posts on current astrological trends and personalities.
