Something New – “Know Your Chart”

Is it just me or has it been a slow news year this year? There just haven’t been all that many things that made me rush to my computer and run up a chart to see what was going on.

I have been busy though- behind the scenes – doing all that Saturn stuff like revisiting old material and tidying up details. As I puttered, I realized what I want to do now.

In addition to posting blog items about the news, I will be regularly posting articles under the heading “Know Your Chart” . This information is for those who are interested in astrology but just want to know about their own charts and the charts of those near to them. Articles will expand upon the knowledge included in the Natal Charts (available from this site) and regular, appropriate news items will include added “Know Your Chart” material.

Example: Saturn In Libra

On October 30, Saturn entered Libra and will be there until October, 2012 (except when it slips back into Virgo from April to July, 2010).

Saturn is the ‘reality’ planet. It is tests, lessons and manifestation on a physical level. Dreams don’t come true without Saturn making them physically present.

When Saturn is in your sign or aspecting one of your planets, it brings a heaviness and a need for focus. The past appears in any number of new forms — yet another opportunity to get it right!

Now, Saturn is in Libra, so there is a universal focus on relationships and forms of relating (and I am guessing a lot of American political heat will turn again to Gay issues!) and all the different places where Libra balance needs attention.

Where does Saturn in Libra affect you? Where will you focus, draw back, reduce, test?

Sun Sign:

  • Aries – important relationships such as best friends and marriage partners.
  • Taurus – work place issues and health matters
  • Gemini – matters of romance, creativity and children
  • Cancer – home and emotional roots
  • Leo – communications, short trips and sibling relationships
  • Virgo – money matters and values
  • Libra – You – particularly physical appearance
  • Scorpio – areas normally buried in subconscious
  • Sagittarius – friends, long-term goals, associations
  • Capricorn – career issues
  • Aquarius – publishing, long-distance travel and higher education
  • Pisces – shared resources

‘Know Your Chart’ extra – If you have your chart in front of you, you can substitute Ascendant for Sun Sign in the above chart. Both apply. I have found that the physical events seem to correlate more with the Sun sign placement and the internal growth correlates with the Ascendant placement.

Astrology of an Address ~ Dayel Kirk

    July 8, 2009

Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.

Thanks, Dayel! Please visit The Reluctant Astrologer to get the astrology of your address, along with some other freebies and some excellent posts on current astrological trends and personalities.
