Happy Birthday to the United States of America!

The 2009 USA Solar Return is an Aries chart, which may mean war and rumours of war.

The ruler of Aries, Mars, is connected by aspect to Venus, Uranus, Jupiter and Neptune as well as Pluto in the natal chart and that means that there is a lot happening.

The Mars aspect that is worrisome is the square to Jupiter/Neptune. Astrologers don’t like to call any aspect a ‘negative’ aspect but Mars/Neptune sure comes close. The ego-bound, ambitious energies of Mars don’t blend at all well with the ethereal, spiritual, dream-like qualities of Neptune — unless they are in the hands of a very highly evolved soul where they become a transcendent change of purpose and direction. On the mortal level, Mars/Neptune is muddy, sneaky and dangerous. It is fortunate that there other strong aspects to Mars that may mitigate the danger.

Pluto has changed direction and, for now, is moving away from the Venus opposition that caused so much turmoil in the financial sector last year. It will return to that position in December of this year and January, 2010 and back and forth for the next couple of years. Things will not go back to the way they were.

As in the 2008 Solar Return, Pluto is again opposite Mercury, continuing the huge ideological debate about the direction that the country should take.

Astrology of an Address ~ Dayel Kirk

    July 8, 2009

Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.

Thanks, Dayel! Please visit The Reluctant Astrologer to get the astrology of your address, along with some other freebies and some excellent posts on current astrological trends and personalities.
