  Pluto in Capricorn is a big part of the explanation. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was 1762 to 1777 when both Canada and the US became nations.

  There is an interesting article called 'Road to Independence, a chronology of events of the next 13 years.' that covers almost exactly that period of time.

Michael Jackson Dead at the age of 50

Michael Joseph Jackson was born August 29, 1958 at 10:00 am in Gary, Indiana and died in Los Angeles on June 25 at 2:26 pm.

The prominent transit at the time of Jackson’s death was Neptune opposite Mercury (once in 84 years). This is a time when it is easy to drift away from day-to-day matters. The ‘escape’ vehicle may be illness, dreams, daydreams, drugs or alcohol. 

The positive side of Neptune opposite Mercury is that it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dissolve old thought patterns, and it is a time when intuition and imagination become more a part of daily thought processes.

The downside of this transit is that some find temporary escape from mundane matters so pleasant that they choose not to return or they fail to notice signs that they may be in danger.

  Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

  If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

  My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

  A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

  At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.
