Susan Boyle

I finally found a reputable source for Susan Boyle’s birth data but the resulting charts do not show what I expected to find.

At the time of Boyle’s first appearance, Jupiter was in the Tenth (career) house. This does signify a time of career advancement and it was opposite Uranus — which can be a time of surprises — but it would happen every 12 years so it shouldn’t have such a startling affect.

Neither the Solar return or the Secondary progression are particularly dramatic.

The point seems to be that this wasn’t a huge, dramatic development for Susan Boyle but a natural evolution of the potential in the original birth chart.

Susan Boyle’s birth chart has two unusual indications of ‘destiny’ . Pluto is conjunct the North node, showing the potential to grow into someone with unusual power, and Neptune is the same degree as the Vertex, a point in the chart that is connected to ‘fated’ connections or events.

The Descendant and the Seventh house are most often associated with relationships but they also represent public image and, on April 11, 2009, the Neptune/Vertex had moved (Solar Arc progression) to conjunct the Seventh house cusp and transitting Pluto is in the Seventh house and trine to the Pluto/North Node conjunction.

Source of Susan Boyle’s Birth Time

From The Mountain Astrologer:

Birth data are from Ms. Caroline Gerard of The Scottish Astrological Association, who obtained the birth certificate from the records office of the Scottish New Register House. The sole entry for Blackburn, Scotland listed in many astrology software atlases shows the incorrect latitude and longitude for a Blackburn in Aberdeenshire, not for the correct second Blackburn in West Lothian. Susan Boyle, April 1, 1961; 9:50 a.m. GMD; Blackburn (West Lothian), Scotland (55°N52’, 03°W38’)… While the family home was in Blackburn, West Lothian, she was in fact born at Bangour Hospital, near Broxburn, West Lothian, which is at 03w34, 55n55.

Mary Plumb Says:…Susan Magdalena Boyle’s birth was recorded in Uphall-West Lothian as April 1 1961, the daughter of Patrick and Bridget.

In your Natal charts you have Susan’s middle name listed as “Madalena,” but in the last sentence of your article, Mary Plumb says her middle name is Magdalena.

Could “Madalena” have been just a typo and the correct spelling is
    actually “Magdalena.” Thanks!

Astrology of an Address ~ Dayel Kirk

    July 8, 2009

Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.

Thanks, Dayel! Please visit The Reluctant Astrologer to get the astrology of your address, along with some other freebies and some excellent posts on current astrological trends and personalities.
