  Pluto in Capricorn is a big part of the explanation. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was 1762 to 1777 when both Canada and the US became nations.

  There is an interesting article called 'Road to Independence, a chronology of events of the next 13 years.' that covers almost exactly that period of time.

The Queen’s Birthday

Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 83 birthday today, April 21, 2009.

The Queen’s Solar Return is ruled by Neptune, nestled with Jupiter and the Moon in the 12th house, so it is a contemplative year, perfect for spiritual and creative pursuits.

On the other hand, her Sun, always important in a Solar Return, is right out there in the First house and trine Pluto in the tenth house, a very strong and public position.

I think Queen Elizabeth will surprise us this year. It is a One Year in the Nine Year cycle, perfect for fresh starts and new projects. She also has a Jupiter return, a Uranus return and a Neptune opposition, all indications that it’s time for new directions.

Like the spontaneous, warm moment with Michelle Obama, the Queen may freer than she has in the past. Saturn is sitting there, opposite her Ascendant and square natal Venus, so the public will feel free to remind her of duty but there are many indications of fresh new energy and inspiration in this chart.

  Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

  If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

  My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

  A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

  At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.
