Barack Obama and Abraham Lincoln
Amazingly similar “Experience” between Barack Obama and Abraham Lincoln. Look at the following questions, and try to guess which is which:
- a lawyer;
- an Illinois state legislator;
- lost an election to represent Illinois in the U.S. Congress;
- spent only two years in the U.S. Congress before running for President;
- risked political damage in opposing a war in which the U.S. invaded a foreign country;
- delivered a famous speech on national unity as a candidate to represent Illinois in U.S. Senate, elevating his political career to the national level and paving the way for a Presidential run;
- sought his Party’s Presidential nomination by challenging the establishment candidate, a Senator from New York, also a lawyer, who was widely expected to easily secure the nomination;
- was viewed by Party delegates as a talented speaker able to attract moderates and newer voters;
- viewed by some in his Party as a better candidate more likely to secure critical states in the general election as his rivals, especially those with “experience” had accumulated more political enemies;
- the opposition party was fractured and in complete disarray;
- March 4th is a very significant date in his political career;

Barack Obama obviously feels a connection between himself and Abraham Lincoln. He often quotes Lincoln; he will retrace Lincoln’s route to the inauguration by travelling by train and he will be sworn in on Lincoln’s Bible.
Abraham Lincoln’s chart is ruled by Uranus at 9 Scorpio (Ascendant – Aquarius, ruler of Aquarius – Uranus).
Obama has Neptune at 8 Scorpio.
Both Uranus and Neptune are ‘otherwordly’ planets i.e. they often operate on a super-conscious level more than on the conscious level.
Many people born about the same time as Obama have Neptune in the same place and have the same ‘potential’ link with Lincoln. In Obama’s case, he has the link and he has similar aspirations. He builds on the potential of the connection each time he thinks about Lincoln, reads about him or studies what he wrote.
