Why Now Caroline?

Caroline Kennedy has stepped forward and indicated that she is interested in Hilary Clinton’s soon-to-be-vacated Senate seat. This is a major move for the 51 year old Kennedy who has always preferred a quiet, private life out. Why now?

Caroline Kennedy is shy…her Sun is in the Twelfth house and she really doesn’t feel comfortable in the spotlight. She wants to be of service…her Tenth house (career) is Virgo, indicating that she is not at peace unless she is doing something that is useful and not personally or selfishly ambitious.

2008 is a Four year for Kennedy, the testing year, and December (along with May) is a difficult month in a difficult year — so why now?

The ‘why’ is probably Pluto. Pluto is transitting Kennedy’s First house from 2004 to 2022. This is a long period when the personality goes through a deep and often very dramatic transformation, particularly in reference to power.

Right now, Pluto is trine to its birth position at the top of the chart, right beside the mid-heaven, so the vehicle that Kennedy is using to facilitate her personal transformation is her position in the world.

It is interesting to note that the start of this Nine Year Cycle coincided with the entry of Pluto into Kennedy’s first house so we know that this nine year period has everything to do with her personal transformation.

Any Pluto transit demands that you reach deep within yourself and become stronger than you every thought that you wanted to be. Finding that inner strength is the challenge for Kennedy in this testing month, in this testing year.

Astrology of an Address ~ Dayel Kirk

    July 8, 2009

Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.

Thanks, Dayel! Please visit The Reluctant Astrologer to get the astrology of your address, along with some other freebies and some excellent posts on current astrological trends and personalities.
