India and Pakistan
India and Pakistan were both ‘born’ on August 15, 1947, the day they ended allegiance to England and became independent nations.
Because they were born at the same time, their difference comes from location. This sets up slightly different charts and a different Ascendant (face, mask, public image.) Pakistan has a Taurus Ascendant and India, Gemini. They both have five planets in Leo.
Because the planets in the birth charts were in the same place, India and Pakistan go through the transits at the same time and share a destiny.
India and Pakistan are just coming out of a thirteen year period of Neptune oppositions: Moon, Mercury, Pluto, Venus, Saturn and the Sun. This means that what they were fourteen years ago has changed. Neptune confuses, dissolves and reshapes from within. Neptune also makes it difficult to actually ‘do’ anything on a wordly level.
As they come out of this enervating period, both countries are now experiencing Pluto opposite Mars (once in 250 years), a powerful time of change through confrontation which can be very positive. The danger of this transit is there is so much energy, ego and ambition involved. The energy of a Pluto/Mars transit wants to dominate and this urge to control can cause power struggles with other powerful entities.
Both countries also have Uranus trine Jupiter (once in 42 years), an exciting period of drama, change, innovation and optimism.
India and Pakistan will either combine the power and optimism of the current conditions and work side-by-side on a new path or they will face off in a dangerous confrontation.
