Election Day 2008
On Election Day there is an exact opposition between Saturn and Uranus, two elements that are fundamentally opposed to each other.
Saturn represents structure, tradition, restrictions, fears, and Uranus represents change, new direction, freedom. One side or the other is going to be very unhappy at the result.
Status quo, represented by Saturn, will attempt to limit what is happening using Saturn tools such as lack of resources, physical impediments, time problems.
Change, represented by Uranus, will attempt to break through the restrictions using Uranian tools such as the internet, group action, innovation and creativity.
It’s like a mid-life crisis. Changes have to be made but often the transition period is chaotic and stressful. It is often easier to cling to known structures, even if they are not working, than to imagine that things can be different.
