Two Weeks to Go…

With two weeks to go until the American election on November 4, it’s time to look at the astrological conditions for the US, for John McCain, and for Barack Obama.

It is next to impossible to make predictions with astrology because (a) there are so many elements involved and (b) the individual involved will react to those elements according to his or her level of development and how willing they are to adjust and grow. I say this because there are astrological signs that this election and the time around it will be chaotic and transforming. How much resistance is there to this transformation?

USA 2008 Solar ReturnUSA

Both the Natal chart and the Solar return chart for the US show stress aspects involving the Eighth house, Saturn and Mars. The Eighth house has a lot to do with financial connections with other countries so it is likely that the world financial crisis will remain an important part of the election. The Saturn/Mars conjunction may also indicate some sort of military action.

John McCain

John McCain is running for the office of President of the United States at the time of his Saturn opposition. Saturn keeps track of what you have physically, actually done (vs. what you meant to do) and presents you with the results of those efforts at various times, including the time of the Saturn opposition. There is challenge to what McCain has done since 1996, and this testing will result in adjustment to his goals for the next seven to fourteen years.

Uranus opposite McCain’s Neptune is a lovely, creative and spiritual time which causes confusion on the mundane level.

Barack Obama

Saturn in the Tenth or career house promises a culmination, for better or for worse, of what was started when Saturn crossed the Ascendant, usually around 21 years before. In Obama’s case, Saturn crossed his Ascendant in 1984 when he began his public and political career life as director of Chicago’s Developing Communities Project. Saturn is now in the last few degrees and last few months of its journey through the Tenth house.

Pluto is opposite Obama’s Venus, a once-in-124-year transit that forces the individual into a new recognition of what he loves and what is really important to him. Any important relationship (like Obama’s relationship with Michelle) will undergo a significant transformation.

On November 4, the Solar point (from the Solar return) will be at 28 Gemini, right on the Nadir, opposite Pluto. In the week before the election, the SP will square the Moon, Mars and Uranus indicating chaotic and surprising conditions.

    Hi Dayel:

Recently, some group located another birth certificate of John McCain. Apparently, if you read Michael Wolfstar’s blog at Star Iq, a copy appears there. However, this birth certificate indicates that John McCain was born in Colon, Panama on August 29, 1936 at 6:25 p.m. Colon, Panama isn’t American territory so if this birth certificate is legitimate, technically John McCain isn’t an American citizen and would be ineligible to run for President of the United States.

I realize how iffy birth certificates are with times and everything but I thought you might be interested in knowing this.

I am hoping Barack Obama wins because I believe he will take the United States in a new direction. Something tells me reading your information above regarding the transits on November 4th indicates John McCain will win.

Are you using the correct birth time for Sen. Obama? I hope that the majority of the people choose change. We can not continue to move as a nation in a direction that is destructive for a few to live high off the hog. Wake up America! Remember we are all in this together.

Astrology of an Address ~ Dayel Kirk

    July 8, 2009

Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.

Thanks, Dayel! Please visit The Reluctant Astrologer to get the astrology of your address, along with some other freebies and some excellent posts on current astrological trends and personalities.
