  Pluto in Capricorn is a big part of the explanation. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was 1762 to 1777 when both Canada and the US became nations.

  There is an interesting article called 'Road to Independence, a chronology of events of the next 13 years.' that covers almost exactly that period of time.

Sarah Palin and John McCain

John McCain has chosen Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska as his running mate.

(Palin was born February 11, 1964 in Idaho, exact time and location unknown. The chart is valid but the Moon, the Ascendant and house positions are not considered as they will change when the exact time and location are known.)

A current transit in Palin’s chart is Neptune conjunct the Sun, a once-in-84-year (i.e. once in a lifetime) event that has an effect for approximately two years.

Neptune on the Sun is a sensitive time when the ego boundaries are weakened. It is a selfless time as any other motive leads to confusion. The upside can be a whole new understanding of the spiritual part of life and the downside may be confusion, lowered physical energy, increased sensitivity. It is a difficult time for others to see her clearly.

From now until the middle of September, Palin also has Saturn conjunct Pluto. This is a once-in-27 year time that is a culmination of what has been actually, physically, accomplished – particularly in the past 14 years. It is a period of intense focus and a time of encountering powerful opposition.

  Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

  If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

  My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

  A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

  At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.
