Michael Richards: the astrology of a meltdown

On November 17, 2006, Michael Richards, better known as Kramer from Seinfeld, had a meltdown in a popular Los Angeles comedy club. Richards became annoyed when noise from the audience interrupted his act and he verbally attacked two African Americans in the audience. The attack was shocking, not only because the attack was vitriolic and racist but also because of the amazing amount of energy behind the words.

The astrological breakdown

Start with the manic quirkiness and quick temper in the Natal Chart (Mars/Uranus conjunction).

Add the depressing, isolating effects of Saturn in Leo, his Sun sign, since July 2005; of Saturn in his Solar Arc Progressed Chart square his birth Sun and of transiting Saturn conjunct Venus.

November 17, 2006 (approximate meltdown time) Mars, Sun and Jupiter were all squaring Richards’ Venus. This would normally be a rather benign transit leading to overindulgence or impulsive emotional moves.

However, the Mars/Uranus conjunction from the birth chart had progressed to the same point adding volatility and (as mentioned above) Saturn was there adding emotional alienation and depression.

Both the transiting Saturn and the progressed Mars/Uranus conjunction are slow-moving and affect the birth chart for months but, on that particular day, Mars, Jupiter and the Sun were all square to that point … the perfect astrological storm … meltdown.

Astrology of an Address ~ Dayel Kirk

    July 8, 2009

Dayel Kirk has a fun freebie on her site, The Reluctant Astrologer. She gives you the astrology of your address. She takes only the number from your address (no street name) and assigns it to the 360 degree zodiac. If you live in an apartment, only the apartment number is used, not the street number.

If you are a numerologist, you will find using the zodiac degree a very interesting addition to your number meanings.

My address number corresponds with 14 Pisces. Dayel describes this as:

A Pisces address is a place for rest or escape, relaxation, regeneration, creative expression, spiritual pursuits or solitude.

At this address, I have cared for elderly parents, started a small theatre and this blog, studied various religious texts, delved into spirituality, and found a great deal of solitude. It’s much more relaxing than my previous address (perhaps too much so) and has recently been certified as a wildlife habitat.

Thanks, Dayel! Please visit The Reluctant Astrologer to get the astrology of your address, along with some other freebies and some excellent posts on current astrological trends and personalities.
